Veneer Plaster
BY Gene Mullowney IN Chicago Plaster Contractor On 19-08-2014
Veneer Plaster known as Skim Coating involves installing a drywall type board, taping the seams, with paper tape using Dura bond for strength then base coating to get the surface nice and smooth. Most importantly, straight and square in angles using rods and derbies. These are tricks of the plastering trade that is unknown to a drywaller. After the base is installed using Imperial Base or Kallcoat Base from USG (United States Gypsum) then we install old time finish using lime gauging plaster and nothing looks as nice as a new white ceiling.
Being fireproof and aesthetically beautiful, looking much more durable for washing and many more advantages.
